3 hours ago I went in the terrace and what I found there? a stray cat.

Except the kitten wasn’t even a stray but problably abandoned, I’ve took my cat away and closed her in my room (because she’s extremely aggressive with other cats) like I always do when stray cats in heat jump on the terrace but there was something off in the way this one looked at me.

I’m actually very excited! I’ve always wanted the old FE characters to be brought back somehow, because they get a really small amount of screentime, sometimes. :( But yeah — I’m definitely hoping they won’t act OOC. … also hoping for good voices!

I wanted to see old FE characters again too, just…not like this, not outside of their world as random content that don’t have any reason to be there. But it’s mostly speculation right now, maybe everything will be explained!

To be honest, if it weren’t for personal bias, I’d agree with you. I’m willing to handwave the character mixing, but the designs are bloody awful either way, and the story is still looking rather fishy. (centered around money rather than actual plot) 

money, being - that it’s centered around ‘ooh how do we make as much money w/DLC as possible.’ rather than ‘what’s a good story/plot that means something, and has consistent themes.’ Let’s just hope the characterization still works.

Yes, exactly that, maybe it’s a wrong impression but this game seems to be trying to enlarge the target audience sacrificing the peculiarity of most FE games, that not everyone likes, but it’s still what makes this serie what is it.

It’s great that they are trying to attract new players and make the serie more mainstream but I’m scared it will lose its uniqueness and quality (okay, this sounds hipster). I really hope the characterization will be good since it’s usually the strongest point of the game :/

Well, that feature seemed to be a part of the special content, so it seems like if you’re not excited about the idea it’s just optional and you won’t have to get into it?

Yes, of course, I don’t even know if I’ll ever be able to play it so I’m just theoretically speaking. But anyway, there isn’t much interesting me in FE13 so far…maybe I’ll change my mind when the game comes out.

I know everyone is excited at the idea of old characters in DLC form but sincerely….I don’t like the idea much XD

New maps are nice but old characters? Idk, it just isn’t much….Fire Emblem-ish. I would expect something like that from a Tales of, but in a FE? my first reaction was “leave each character to their own world, please.” Since now, every FE game had a world on his own and those worlds weren’t connected to one another, I don’t see how would make sense for Marth or other characters to be there (though maybe Nintendo will surprise us on this one)

And I’m a little scared of any redesign, especially with that style, or, if they ever talk, any change in charactetization. 

My main problem with this new game is that the ideas are not bad per se, but every new announcement it looks less a Fire Emblem  :/

Cool, though I don’t think I’ll buy it (and anyway I’ll most probably buy an NTSC-US 3DS because there are other games that most probably won’t get to Europe that I’m more interested in XD) 

But anyway, the new trailer is nice, at least in the first part, then it’s all sparkly random things and flying people and yes, I’d cry too if I was on a floating rock in the middle of nowhere. 

…It looks like a Final Fantasy.

And why is there a Pokemon?
